最近一段时间，市场再度陷入深幅调整中，机构纷纷抛出自己的观点。富国基金认为，四季度以来，A股市场环境仍偏正面。不过8月至今，小盘股已经持续跑赢大盘股逾3个多月，小盘股板块相对大盘股板块的超额收益也接近历史峰值，现在已经接近年底，市场风格很可能将出现转换，大盘股走强的趋势越来越明显。在现在的情势下，沪深300指数将越来越有利可图。而增强版的沪深300指数基金将为投资人分享中国经济，把握年底行情的一大有利选择。
作为采用量化方法进行主动增强的指数基金，富国沪深300增强基金可谓踏准了市场的步伐，此时建仓，胜算可想而知，由此该基金对自身极具自信，将业绩比较基准设 置为了“95%×沪深300指数收益率+1.5%”，成为国内业绩基准超越指数比例最高的指数基金。据了解，富国沪深300以沪深300指数为追踪标的，其投资于沪深300指数成份股和备选成份股的资产不低于组合的80%。它的年跟踪误差不超过7.75%。这些并无特殊。但是，与普通指数型基金相比，首先富国沪深300不是指数复制，而是指数增强；其次该基金的增强方法是量化的，是国内第一只采用量化的方法进行主动增强的沪深300指数基金。
富国基金量化投资团队负责人李笑薇是富国基金从海外挖来的至宝，她表示，量化投资方式本身没有问题，问题在于是否能将这种方式用得好。比如针对“政策市”，量化投资中可以通过主题均衡减少政策风险。另一方面，如果一个定量投资人对某个政策方向有很大把握，它也可以通过形成一个针对该政策的因子来获取超额收益。
